Everything that shipped since the last entry, for both the free plugin (1.0.107 to 1.0.115) and SEOBetter Pro (2.0.0 to 2.0.3).
Free plan: the Cloud-assisted allowance is now visible (1.0.115)
- Free generation is Cloud-assisted for the first 30 articles per site: the hosted SEOBetter service supplies the tuned writing prompt and your own AI key writes the article. After that, new articles are written by the plugin's built-in engine on your key, and a notice on the Generate page tells you the switch has happened. Nothing stops; previously the switch was silent.
- Local and private hostnames (localhost, .local, .test, private IP addresses) are written by the built-in engine from the first article, and the Generate page says so.
SEOBetter Pro 2.0.3: expert quotes stay on topic
- A quote from an authority site that is not about your topic (for example a veterinary research paper in a local dog-grooming article) is now rejected instead of published. No quote is better than the wrong quote.
- Quotes taken from a PubMed Central mirror are cited by the paper's DOI, which opens for every reader, and a quote whose source page turns out to be a bot-check wall is dropped.
SEOBetter Pro 2.0.0 to 2.0.2
- Insert link in the editor sidebar now links the first matching phrase inside your content, in both the block editor and classic content, instead of adding a "Related:" line at the bottom of the post (2.0.2).
- Internal-link anchor text describes the page it points to (2.0.1).
- Pro moved to a clean public version number; existing installs update normally through the built-in updater (2.0.0).
AI providers and models (1.0.112, 1.0.113)
- New Kimi (Moonshot AI) provider, and a refreshed catalog: Claude Opus 5 and Sonnet 5, GPT-5.6 Sol, Gemini 3.7 Flash. Deprecated Groq Llama models removed.
- Save as many providers as you like, one active at a time. Pasting a key that belongs to a different provider is caught at save time with a clear message.
Generation and fixes (1.0.110)
- Free generation no longer stops with an upgrade message when the hosted service declines a request; it continues on the built-in engine.
- Meta descriptions can no longer end mid-sentence.
- Entering a purchased Pro key shows the Download SEOBetter Pro button right away.
WordPress.org review releases (1.0.107 to 1.0.111, 1.0.114)
- The free package contains only what the free plan offers: three content types, English, six countries, no locked options or upgrade prompts. All admin JavaScript loads from enqueued files, every page global carries the seobetter prefix, and the External services documentation is complete.
