What your AppSumo lifetime deal includes
Your SEOBetter lifetime deal (LTD) is a one-time purchase, not a subscription. It is a different plan from the monthly Pro tiers, so the numbers on the Free vs Pro page do not apply to you. This article is the authoritative reference for what an LTD gives you.
The one thing to understand first
Every SEOBetter feature is included in every LTD tier. GEO scoring, all 29 languages, schema, internal links, Google Search Console, bulk generation, Brand Voice, and freshness are all on from Tier 1. Stacking more codes does not unlock features. It only raises two things: the number of sites you can activate, and your monthly article volume.
Tiers and caps
One code is Tier 1. You stack up to 4 codes on AppSumo to reach Tier 4 (we support up to Tier 5). Here is exactly what each tier gives you:

The nuance that matters: cloud caps are lean, BYOK is the volume lever
There are two ways to generate, and they have separate monthly allowances:
- Cloud articles run on managed AI. You do not need any API key. These caps are deliberately lean (2 to 12 per month depending on tier) and they reset each month.
- BYOK (bring your own key) articles use your own AI provider key (OpenAI, Anthropic, OpenRouter, Gemini, Groq, or Ollama). Your BYOK allowance is a separate, larger monthly number, and you pay your provider directly, usually about $0.01 to $0.08 per article.
If you plan to publish at any real volume, BYOK is your main path. The cloud allowance is best treated as a convenient no-setup extra on top of your BYOK articles, not your primary source of volume. See cloud vs bring-your-own-key on your lifetime deal for how to set this up.
Refunds and moving your licence
