How do I create a brand voice from my own writing?
A brand voice tells SEOBetter how your articles should sound: the tone, the phrases to avoid and a sample of your writing. Your bot or assistant can build one for you from posts you have already written.
What you need
- SEOBetter Pro, Pro+, Agency or any lifetime licence, active on the site. Pro allows 1 brand voice, Pro+ 3 and Agency unlimited.
- SEOBetter Pro 2.0.8 and the SEOBetter Agent add-on 0.4.0 or newer
- A bot connected with a bot key in Publish mode, or an assistant connected with an Application Password. A brand voice applies to the whole site, so a key in Drafts only mode cannot save one.
Step by step
- Tell your bot which posts sound most like you, for example: "Read my five most recent posts and create a brand voice called House style from them."
- If some of your best writing is not on the site, such as an About page or social posts, paste that text into the chat as well.
- The bot reads the posts, writes the voice (a short description, the tone, phrases to avoid and a writing sample of up to 8 KB) and saves it.
- Ask the bot to show you the voice before you use it, and to change anything that does not sound right.
Use the voice
Ask the bot to use the voice when it writes, for example: "Write an article on puppy training using the House style voice." The bot passes the voice to every article it starts. The Write today's post routine on the AI bot access page (copy it with its Copy routine button) uses your brand voice too.

Limits
Changing a brand voice does not count towards the key's daily post edit limit (50 by default); that limit covers changes to posts and products. Deleting a voice does not change articles already written.
